Reflecting on what we learnt from 2020, the global health crisis provided a remarkable opportunity to rethink how we develop students for engineering careers, and find more meaningful ways to engage with our stakeholders and local communities. The 2021 GEDC Industry Forum will take place from 20th- 23rd September 2021 in partnership with the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP) and TU Dresden’s Faculty of Transportation and Traffic Sciences “Friedrich List”, Institute of Traffic Telematics (TUD IoT). 2021 will see a new series of the pioneering Global Learning Expedition we developed in 2020 in response to the impact of Covid-19 on students worldwide. This highly interactive online program enables students from all backgrounds and profiles to develop intercultural and professional skills from anywhere in the world. The Global Learning Expedition gathers interdisciplinary teams from universities world-wide to work with world-class coaches and industry experts on real world challenges, enabling students to gain valuable career insights while building their professional network.
Which themes do you want to see the next generation of talent work on in 2021?
Given the evolution in online education in 2020, we’re conducting a global survey to better understand the opportunities and challenges related to online education platforms, to inform developments in this field based on the needs of users at Universities. Please do share your experience by participating in the survey.
