Following the success of the 2020 GEDC Industry Forum, hosted online by the Faculty of Engineering, McMaster University, Canada together with the Global Engineering Deans Council and Petrus, we’re pleased to share the Dynamic Design Group ‘Idea Book’. The outputs from nine creative, international, expert design groups is gathered here in an interactive format with many useful resources.

While preparing the 2020 GEDC Industry Forum, we put out a call for case studies on how this global community of engineering and education leaders and their organisations had responded to COVID-19.

In December 2020, the winning team - Machine Learning Reply - was announced at the Q2B Practical Quantum Computing virtual event.

The 2021 GEDC Industry Forum will take place from 20th- 23rd September 2021 in partnership with the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP) and TU Dresden’s Faculty of Transportation and Traffic Sciences “Friedrich List”, Institute of Traffic Telematics (TUD IoT). The event will be connected to the 24th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL2021) and the 50th IGIP International Conference on Engineering Pedagogy.

This highly interactive online program enables students from all backgrounds and profiles to develop intercultural and professional skills from anywhere in the world. The Global Learning Expedition gathers interdisciplinary teams from universities world-wide to work with world-class coaches and industry experts on real world challenges, enabling students to gain valuable career insights while building their professional network.
Which themes do you want to see the next generation of talent work on in 2021?
Given the evolution in online education in 2020, we’re conducting a global survey to better understand the opportunities and challenges related to online education platforms, to inform developments in this field based on the needs of users at Universities. Please do share your experience by participating in the survey.
