The brief

To raise awareness of Shell as a recruiter of talented technical and commercial students. To improve performance from candidates in new markets during the recruitment process.

Our approach

  1. Recruit a team of Campus Brand Managers (CBMs) at 14 target schools.
  2. Train, brief and manage CBMs to implement events and run communication campaigns.

Our activity

  1. Each team implemented 2-4 events on campus.
  2. Four campaigns implemented during the year at each school.
  3. Feedback gathered after each event and shared with target institutions to develop relationships further.

Our results so far

  • Programme ran for 5 years and activity rolled out to UK and other European markets.
  • Significant improvement in performance from candidates at CBM schools, leading to over half target recruits coming from this programme.
